Our Quartets

We have a number of quartets in the Hernando Harmonizers that we are very proud of.

They are available to perform as well. If your next event would be enhanced by some close four-part harmonies, have a look at our quartets:

The Pine Chords are very well known throughout Hernando County. These four friends, three being residents of Timber Pines, have decades of "barbershopping" experience, yet still exhibit
the youthful exuberance that you'd expect only from men many years their junior.
Singing tenor is Gene Schuh, a 40-year member of the Society. This is Gene’s third quartet. As a “snowbird”, Gene also sings with the Championship Southern Gateway
Chorus of Cincinnati and an Ohio quartet, appropriately named Summertime.
Singing lead is Jerry McPhail, who has also often served as the chorus's director. Jerry is a
founding member of the Hernando County Chapter.
Singing bass is Bob Barnard. Upon moving to Florida in 2010, he became a member of the Hernando County chapter. Bob joined the Pine Chords in March of 2012. Bob is new to Barbershop but is learning to fit into the chorus, and the Pine Chords.
The baritone part is sung by Pat Lanphier, a recent Florida transplant. Pat has been with the Hernando Harmonizers since 2007. However he has been singing barbershop since 1971,
and has sung in quartets and choruses in five different chapters - two in Wisconsin, two in California, as well as the Harmonizers.
Booking agent for the Pine Chords quartet is Pat Lanphier, 686-6598, email patlanphier@yahoo.com.
